# 📜 Rules & Policies ### 1️⃣ **Exploiting Bugs or Glitches** * Absolutely no exploiting of any in-game bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics. * If you discover a bug, report it immediately to staff via Discord or the ticket system. * Players found abusing bugs will face temporary or permanent bans, depending on severity. * Sharing exploit methods with others is treated the same as using them. ### 2️⃣ **Real Money Trading (RMT)** * Selling or buying anything related to New Madrigal (items, accounts, penya, etc.) for real-world currency is strictly prohibited. * This includes trades involving cryptocurrencies, PayPal, gift cards, etc. * Offenders will be permanently banned without exception. * Do not attempt to mask RMT through "donations" or private deals—we will find out. ### 3️⃣ **Account Sharing & Selling** * Sharing accounts is strongly discouraged. If your account is compromised due to sharing, staff will not restore items or characters. * Selling or buying accounts is forbidden and will result in a permanent ban. * You're responsible for everything that happens on your account. Secure it wisely. ### 4️⃣ **Botting, Macros and Third-Party Software** * Use of bots, auto-clickers, macros or any third-party software that automates gameplay is not allowed. * Any tools that provide unfair advantages (even cosmetic ones with unintended side effects) are bannable. * Playing fairly is part of the experience. Cheaters never prosper in New Madrigal. ### 5️⃣ **Toxic Behavior & Harassment** * Disrespect, harassment, hate speech or targeted bullying will not be tolerated in any form. ### 6️⃣ **This Includes but is Not Limited To:** * Inappropriate character/guild names * Spamming or trolling in public chats * Personal threats or doxxing. * Punishments range from mutes to permanent bans, depending on context and history. ### 7️⃣ **Impersonating Staff** * Pretending to be a GM, developer or part of the New Madrigal team is strictly forbidden. ### 8️⃣ **Only Staff Listed on the Wikipedia or Discord Carry Authority** * Impersonators will be banned immediately. ### 9️⃣ **Discord & Community Rules** * Our Discord is an extension of the game. * Follow all Discord rules and respect moderators. * What you say on Discord can and will affect your in-game account if necessary. ### 🔟 **Staff Discretion & Final Word** * All rules are subject to interpretation and enforcement by staff. * Attempting to twist the rules or act in “grey areas” won’t protect you. * Staff decisions are final. Arguing excessively or harassing staff will not help your case. ### 🔁 **Rule Changes** * We reserve the right to modify or update these rules at any time if necessary. * It is your responsibility to stay informed.
